Admissions

General Guidelines

The following are the general rules for admission into any of the Classroom, Postal or Online Programs of IIT-P :

  • Admission to Classroom programs can be done only at one of the IIT-P offices in Pune and NOT via post, courier or online methods. Thus, personal visit to an IIT-P office in Pune is mandatory for admission into any classroom program of IIT-P
  • Payment of fees as per norms shall be accepted by Cheque / DD / Cash. Valid receipt shall be given for any mode of payment.
  • An undertaking has to be signed at the time of admission which essentially states that the student shall abide by the rules and regulations framed IIT-P during the course of the program where the student is enrolled in.
  • Refund of fees shall be given as per Refund Rules mentioned in the Undertaking. No Refund is granted after 1 month of the date of payment of fees. The refund amount as per rules shall be paid by cheque only at a date within six months of date of application of the Refund as guided by the Board of Directors of IIT-P.
  • Admissions to Postal & Online Programs can be done by sending a plain paper application by post or courier along with 2 recent photographs of the student and other documents as mentioned in the corresponding link. Payment shall be accepted by Demand Draft payable at Pune only. Online mode of payment is not activated yet.
  • IIT-P Management reserves the right to reject or accept any admission request which contravenes the stated rules of admission in IIT-P brochures, website etc.
  • Scholarship if granted as per declared norms for any program shall be applicable only in the last instalment of fees.
  • Admission Test is mandatory for admission into the 2-years GRANDMASTERS Program and 1-year PRODIGY SENIORS program of IIT-P. There is no Admission Test for the rest of the programs offered by IIT-P. However, the IIT-P Management reserves its right to reject admissions to any student whom the Management deems unfit on grounds which IIT-P shall have no obligation to disclose.
  • There is no concession in fees granted other than merit cum means scholarships which are mentioned in the brochures and pamphlets of IIT-P.
  • In any other matter, the decision of the IIT-P Board of Directors is final.
